Hi, I’m Matt.
I am a visual storyteller in Gainesville, Florida, where I split my time between professional creative work and personal storytelling projects rooted in Florida’s landscape.
For over a decade, I’ve designed brand identities and collateral for organizations that serve people and communities. In my personal time, I explore Florida’s backroads, documenting and advocating for its changing landscape.
I’ve worked as a photojournalist, graphic designer, and creative director. But while the medium changes, the goal is always the same: to create work that helps people see – and hopefully care.
Lately, I’ve been exploring and documenting the Ocklawaha River, one of Florida’s oldest and most endangered rivers. For decades, it’s been at the center of a controversy to remove a dam and return it to its natural flow.
